“I have been a teacher for 4 years and those years have been spent in Year 5 and 6. I am really excited to continue my teaching journey at Broseley in Year 4. Within my classroom, I like to create an environment with high expectations but also one where we can have a lot of fun and laughs together. One of my main passions is reading and over the years I have amassed a wide variety of books that I love to share with my class. I hope that I can pass on my love of reading to the children.
I am also currently studying for a Master’s degree in education and will be undertaking my dissertation this year. I will be focusing on gender stereotyping and how teachers are an integral part of challenging these stereotypes. I think that keeping on top of current research is really important and allows me to keep learning and implementing new ideas in my classroom.”
