Values & Ethos

The Vision, Aims and Ethos of Broseley Primary School

Vision :

To empower every child with the knowledge and skills to achieve in modern Britain and the wider world.

Aims of the staff:

To pass on knowledge and provide opportunities to apply in a range of situations

To ensure all children have the reading skills to access the full curriculum

To develop the attitude and skills necessary to exercise independence and initiative.

To develop lively, imaginative, enquiring minds with the ability to question, reason and problem solve.

To ensure our children are resilient learners who are not frightened of making mistakes

To ensure children experience all aspects of school life within the British values and Christian values of a Church school.

To help children begin to appreciate the wide range of cultures and beliefs in the world and, through this, develop the qualities of respect and tolerance.

To create a culture where everyone displays the highest standards of behaviour and manners at all times.

To encourage children to reflect on issues relating to their life and welfare, now and in the future.

To work closely with parents and the wider community

To develop a healthy body and mind

Ethos: ‘FACES’ – Faith, Ambition, Courage, Endeavour = Success.

We believe this ethos is the key to reaching our vision. We are aware that our pupils bring different experiences, interests and strengths but if they consistently display these four attributes children can reach their potential.
