Health and fitness.
Being physically and mentally healthy can help productivity, learning, positive social relationships as well as manage weight and strengthen bones and muscles. We aim to get our children in the outdoors and active as much as possible within our curriculum.
We are proud of the Physical Education offer that we provide at Broseley. As well as having wonderful facilities, we fully recognise the positive outcomes that a high-quality PE and school sport can offer. We strive for teaching and learning of PE that promotes confidence, health and fitness and competitiveness in a safe and supportive environment. Our PE curriculum is inclusive, and we ensure that pupils of all abilities access the range of activities we offer and that they are physically active for sustained periods of time in order to encourage them to lead healthy, active lives.
We offer every child the opportunity to represent the school in sport. As we know this can increase self-esteem and provide children with the feeling of belonging to a team and the responsibilities that come with this. We enter a range of competitions which enable everyone to participate but also more skilled performers to flourish. We have been incredibly successful in a range of sports particularly football, cricket, cross country, netball and athletics.
